Welcome to the Kaminari Taiko of Houston Homepage!

We're gearing up for the 14th GRAND TAIKO CONCERT, the largest annual taiko concert in the world. Last year 19,000 fans filled Miller Outdoor Theatre over two nights, and we're hoping to top that mark in 2010.

This year we're trying something new. For the 2010 Grand Taiko Concert this September 17 & 18, Kaminari has reserved a portion of the seats in the covered area. If you want to make sure you have a seat up front, you'll be able to reserve your spot in advance. Click on the Support tab to learn how!



Kaminari Taiko is a Japanese drumming ensemble based in Houston, Texas. You may have seen us at our annual feature performance, the Grand Taiko Concert at Miller Outdoor Theatre, or at one of the many festivals and cultural events we participate in across the country.

July 20, 2010 - We're opening up seat reservations for GTC 2010 and launching our membership campaign today! Click on the Support tab and learn how to reserve your seats and/or become a Kaminari Taiko Supporting Member!

July 3, 2010 - Announcing the dates for this year's Grand Taiko Concert: Friday, September 17, and Saturday, September 18. Mark your calendars!

April 22, 2010 - The Dragonboat Festival has been removed from the schedule. We're as bummed as you are, folks. We hope to return to the Dragonboat Festival next year.

April 12, 2010 - Thanks to all our fans, old and new, who came out to see us at Houston Japan Fest! We had a blast, and we hope you did, too.
