Learn to Play Taiko!
Beginner Taiko is the first class on our Performance Track, designed to introduce new students to the art of taiko. The class covers the fundamentals of rhythm, form, spirit, and stage presence. No prior taiko or musical experience is required for Beginner Taiko (if you have some experience, that’s great, too!).
Successful students have an opportunity to move on to the Apprentice and Performing levels. The class is open to students ages 16 and up.
Beginner Taiko classes meet every Sunday morning from 8:45 to 10:15 AM. New students can join the class with a free trial session on any Sunday. After your trial session, there is a one-time registration fee of $30, and the class fees are $50/month.
Taiko is a physical activity, so please come dressed in comfortable attire. For footwear, students may participate barefoot, in socks, or in indoor-only shoes.
